Bryan Lip is an advisory board member to a rocketship startup called HotelP2P. Just as Bitcoin has eliminated the middlemen in banking, Hotel P2P eliminates the middlemen – in this case the OTAs – from hotel distribution, delivering enhanced services to customers and reducing distribution costs to hoteliers. Hotel P2P turns the invisible and intangible accommodation time into something digital that you can use, exchange, sell or share with family, friends or travelers.
Currently in product build mode, Hotel P2P will transform the way hotels do business. Since 1996 booking sites like Expedia or Booking have controlled the digital travel space collecting commissions as high as 30%. This landscape can’t add value to travelers and hotels in the future. Hotel P2P is a peer-to-peer platform that connects all decentralized hotels into just One Global Hotel. We eliminate the intermediaries in the value chain by reducing the commissions to ZERO and we turn the invisible and intangible accommodation time into something digital that you can use, exchange, sell or share with family, friends or travelers.
This is our vision of the future:
